May the Mermaid

Bobbing along, singing a song, at the bottom of the beautiful briny, shimmery shiny, sea.

I started this painting back in 2020, but I wasn't able to finish on time for the Mermay art challenge. So started it again in 2021, hoping to submit it for that year's Mermay, but sadly I was just too busy. So now cut to 2022 - I was determined to get it finished! But of course life had other plans and I'm only able to submit it now. But it's only one week late.....well, okay, 2 years and one week late. But worth it! I took my time instead of rushing it so I'm happier with the results.
