Sons of Tuireann: Creature Concepts - Prologue

Creature concept art for an old Irish Mythology comic, featuring the King's horse, the pack pony and furry Bolg.

The King's Horse is well trained and leads the way. The Pack Pony is laden with all manner of kit, including several rolls of material and stick for making rough tents, bundles of blankets, a small cauldron, some javelins, leather saddlebags and so on. Slightly shorter and shaggier than we might expect it to be, because it’s a wild horse of Ireland rather than a modern day thoroughbred. Furry Bolg is the doggo, a cross between a Setter and a Wolfhound.
